I'll point out three sites:

GSCI 100 - Intro Geology - This is the blog that I used for my Intro Geology class last fall. It's inactive (mostly) now and some of the links may have changed, but it does serve as an example of what I've done in the past to combine technology and teaching.

The Digital Library for Earth Systems Education (DLESE) is a great resource for earth science teachers at all levels. Probably the #1 Go-To resource if you're looking for topical material in the earth sciences.

SERC's Teach the Earth and Pedagogy in Action websites also come highly recommended. I've participated in a number of their Cutting Edge Workshops and have found the experiences invaluable.

Okay, that's a few more links than I originally planned, but all worthwhile!

This website is one that was mentioned in my Reading and Language Arts Methods class. It has a lot of really useful information for teaching reading.

This website has everything a teacher needs to know. Probably the best thing about this website, though, is that it has A LOT of lesson plan ideas!

I have an educational blog, n2teaching Hearts and Minds, that I use to develop various topics. The emphasis of this blog is on what I am learning about or teaching about in my professional development plan. Some of my posting would be considered "service to the community" professional development.

There are postings on various projects, technology, software, web applications, educational philosophy and my personal teaching experiences. Feel free to use information from my blog, but I would appreciate that you would cite my blog as your source. I use the Creative Commons Share-alike copyright. That means you can copy it, share it, adapt it with conditions.....cite me as the source and don't sell it;D

As I have been moving through the education program, I have learned of and found many websites that I like and are very useful. Two of my favorites include:

http://nlvm.usu.edu/ - This website has wonderful manipulatives for all kinds of math concepts for every age possible. I like this because this is definitely a new way to integrate technology into the mathematics curriculum. It also is another way to present information to students, which helps with different learning styles.

http://www.kidzone.ws/ - This website has a ton of resources on it for teachers. There is information about a wealth of topics, information for every grade, and best of all, it’s free. I just love this website and I use it often.
