Two Cents Worth FromTeachers Podcasts

Dan Schmidt (KidCast) is putting together a series of little episodes. He has asked me to contribute to his NEW project "Two Cents from Teachers"

The purpose is to create a podcast that is a "daily affirmation" about teaching. Just a couple of minutes from a teacher or future teacher sharing their beliefs, ideas, or anecdotes about teaching and learning.

Since most of you are not teachers yet and not in the classroom quite yet, you could do yours about a teacher that inspired you and why you want to be a teacher or maybe what fears you have about becoming a teacher. Something along that line maybe. I will forward all of them to Dan for his series. He will choose which to publish in his series.
Another few ideas that might work for Dan’s request:
• share a tip or a strategy,
• an overview of your philosophy about kids and learning,
• maybe a poem that inspires your work,
• a story about a comment that affected the way you see kids
• or the learning process.

Really, this is very flexible. The only criteria is that Dan would like to have some ideas that will transfer well to others. First, make sure you introduce yourself and tell what you will teach someday, then go into what you want to say.

So, think about it and figure out what you want to say. Plan it, write it up, make notes, whatever works for you. But planning is really a key to a good project!!! I will forward them to Dan and then many of you will be published on iTunes as a part of KidCast!!! Pretty exciting.
