I like the del.icio.us. website because it makes everything easier to get to. Instead of having 12 different windows open, all of the tabs open them in one page.

My URL is http://del.icio.us/mjstettinger. I chose to use delicious because I thought it was the easiest social bookmarking site to use. When I first started using it I really did not think I would use it as much as I do, but it has made my life so much easier. I will definitely continue to use delicious.

My social bookmarks are available at http://del.icio.us/dmantz7. I have also imported bookmarks from Wesley Fryer and Jon Utecht. LoTi also uses www.ikeepbookmarks.com for their workshops.

This is the first time I’ve heard about Social Bookmarking. It is hard to make a decision as everyone appears to be very useful to share information in the web. I will decide to use Blinklistas the social bookmarking. I think social bookmarking is a great creation to share information with the internet community. In addition, it can improve personal organization skills dramatically. My “favorite” had become a mess, just to find the information takes me a while, if I find the folder where I saved the site. This computer is new and I will give it a good start with bookmarking sites being well organized. I see myself using social bookmarking to research and collaborate with peers and the families I work on information regarding rehabilitation and Child’s development. Also other information that I am always investigating is on the latest nutritional facts and research as well as healthy life issues. This social bookmarking can refine information for more serious sites. My choice for Blinklist was first by using the H3rald review as reference, which indicates an overall rating of 8, considered the winner among the other social bookmarking it reviews. It states that is a relative fast speed site, enough for me, and offers more features. I think this is important as technology is my weakness, so more I get familiar with social bookmarking and it's features the best. I will want to learn how to use bookmarking with simplicity as well. Then I went to the web's site quicktour which describes the features easily and gives many tags suggestions and it helps to organize well the website. This site indicates that even though it takes a while to get used to it, (which is my norm in technology anyway) but it states that is not confusing like other bookmarking sites. The review states that BlinkList is not very popular, in comparison to other bookmarking , and I hope by now is reaching better to the Web 2.0 community. This is important because I will like using this social bookmarking to research among more people that come to the site and then I can use the information in collaboration with the families and colleagues I work and this is fascinating for me. The choice was hard as there are so many to choose from. I will start by this one first and then perhaps experiment with del.icio.us, portaportal, Ma.gnolia bookmark.

I LOVE Portaportal. I have been using Ikeepbookmarks for years, mainly because of the ability to organize by folders. I explored Cyndi's portaportal site and decided to try that one, as I personally never really got into delicious - it just isn't a comfortable fit for me. However, the portaportal is perfect. I spent today cleaning up my Favorites on my home computer, and plan on doing the same tomorrow with my school laptop and school computer. It is amazing how quickly those pile up!

I chose delicious, because it came easier for me. I really like the tagging. I only have a few websites so far. However, I am going to keep adding, and I know this will be beneficial to me in the future.

I have been using blinklist since the biginning of the assignment and it is great to have the site well organized with my tags, as well as being able to see what people have research in the same areas and has been great discoveries this way. Yesterday, I helped my husband to register in del.icio.us and it appeares pretty similar to Blinklist, but in dei.icio.us has the icons buttons that I can not do in Blinklist. If someone can help me to find the way to make the buttons available please let me know.

Thanks,

I use delicious almost exclusively for my social bookmarking. I love it. Recently I had two of my online graduate classes use a class account to share resources related to Professional Development and Library cataloging. I like the fact that you can share bookmarks with others in a network you can create. I currently am networked with 3 other accounts besides my course accounts and personal stuff.

Here is my personal account: http://del.icio.us/chellouise
The Professional Development course is found at: http://del.icio.us/PSU_PD08
Finally, here's the Cataloging course: http://del.icio.us/Cataloging

I use delicious because it is really easy to use and group sites. I have used it for saving lots of sites and found that it is great for when I am at home (in Nebraska) and need to get to some of my sites while doing homework or planning lessons. I also used it to save games and things I use quite often. Here is my link:
