Tecs390 Spring2008

technology, education, teaching, teachers, future teachers

Post your cartoon here.
to get my cartoon on this site I DID THE FOLLOWING.....
1. Toondoos tab at the Toondoo site
2. The dropdown menu choose my toondoos
3. I clicked on the 4th little button on the right of my cartoon (Embed in Blog),
copied the code--Flash means it has animations, the other code does not have animations. (mine does not, your might)
4. I opened this discussion forum and pasted the code.
5. I went back to the ToonDoo site and I also copied the link to my cartoon at the Toondoo site and put it here as well.

Wow! This is so cool! Most kids love cartoons so if you can tie in something informative to the cartoon they will enjoy learning it. Although I registered on the website but now it won't let me log in. I will try to figure it out though.

my guess is typo in your login or password. To prevent these issues, I use the exact same thing whenever I register fro something I use for school. I also have a little 3 x 5 spiral ring notebook I either print out the confirmation email and tape in the notebook or I write in the URL, login and password and a little description of the site. In other words, I create a little record of it for later. Needless to say, the exact same login and password are written on a bunch of pages. Just a little stupid trick that works for me.

I really enjoyed making my own cartoon! It was so neat and fun! It would be a great way to get students to learn in a way that they would even think they were learning! I made my cartoon for kindergarten math! It was fun! I plan on using this in my classroom!

This site is pretty cool. My kids had a good time making a couple with me. This would be a great tool for school at any level. I believe this tool would help open the creative genious is students that would normally go the way-side.

This was a lot of fun! Using ToonDoo was so easy and user friendly. I think that this would be a great tool to use in the classroom. You could let your students use this to express or introduce themselves. Also, this might be able to be used as a great enrichment activity. You could have the students make a cartoon about a topic you are studying in class. Then, the students could share their creations with their classmates. The cartoons could even be printed off and hung in the halls for other students and teacher to see, or added onto the classroom’s newsletter.

Cool Tools Reflection

Scrapblog is very interesting! I enjoy taking pictures, so this is a very cool tool I could see myself using in the classroom as well as for myself outside of school. Finding interesting ways to present material to students is important! I could see myself using vacation pictures to help students understand other places we are studying in the classroom.

Toondoo is very fun!! I love it! The possibilities are endless with this site! So why not let your students explore and make something creative! This site could easily be used to evaluate student comprehension in reading.

Check out the links I created!!
